from imparfaite on YT (vid description):
This adorable little fellow was rescued from underneath a picnic table. All the background noise is a family gathering. We initially thought he was dead until I got down near him and saw him blinking and he was making this precious little squeak sound. We didn't get his squeak on camera though. I wish we had because it was so precious.
I scooped him up off the ground, where he almost got squished. This video is from right after I picked him up. I found a sibling of his sitting on a nearby fence. I put him next to his sibling on the fence (he was okay, no broken wings or anything). He couldn't fly yet and I think he fell from his nest trying to fly. Well, not long after, his momma came by and fed both of the babies. I saw her feed them a couple of times.
He sat on the fence for about three days before he finally got his wings. It was such a neat and unique experience to hold a baby hummingbird. I'm not sure many people can say they've done that!
