Certainly agree it looks a hell of a lot better than MW2 does, though given the release dates it has been a while since mw2 came out. So I'd say it was a good holdover till this hits. I can almost FEEL the sarcastic "We have this in our game unlike SOME pc games we could mention...."

Battelfaild games have always been far more saphisticated than modern ware far.

Modern warefare 2 plays like a mix between Golden eye on the N64 and Unreal 2003 with Modern wepons and a wepon unlock system.

Battelfaild Has far more saphisticated game play interms of game enviroments that acomidate team play far better and give far more freedome to the player.

for me modern ware fare is good if u want a quick death mach or a jump in game sessoin where as battelfaild games offer the choise of a quick game or something more stragic.

another grate thing with battelfaild games is that they real accomidate difrent play typs and alow players mid game to swich from sneeky slow paced game play to In your face fast passed actoin.


As for gun unlocks and all that in gneral i think its a bit shitty id rather just have all the guns avalable from the start i dont see the need to have to unlock everything all you end up doing is puting new players at a disadvantage and the fact is after the game has been out for 4 months 70% of the players will have unlocked everything annyway making it piontless.

It allso has to be noted that Dice are actualy a good developer that make good pc games and know that

PC AND CONSOLE ARE DIFERENT PLATFORMS

and design and impliment the games difrent for each platform.


and finaly Dices new engin (frostbite) used in this game and the origonal battelfaild bad company game HAs substataily improved net code over the older pc engin ( bf2 ,bf2142) so Mods should be realy good , fingers crossed sumone remakes desert combat for this new game ! woop woop

I have quite a few of the games of the series but they have also had some missteps along the way. I thought BF2142 was not as good as it could have been and they stepped on a land mine with the in-game advertisement. Core 2 Duo ads all over the level in the year 2142? Give me a fucking break...

A word of warning, you might want to hold off for now if you have a dual-core processor. I was used to Unreal engine games like Mass Effect 2 looking and performing better on my Athlon X2 rig than their console counterparts. This game is the opposite, it my case it looked and performed MUCH worse than the Xbox360 version. As in; the frame rate is nearly unplayable even with every setting (except resolution) turned down as low as possible.

I swore at the beginning I wouldn't, but I actually broke down and bought a quad core when I discovered they make some that work with my existing CPU socket type. And that completely fixed it. Other than that the beta was quite fun, and I'd recommend it to anyone who has a machine that can handle it.

meh, prone is over-rated. i only used it in previous BF games when going AFK to grab a drink. it also prevents dolphin-diving.

So fix the dolphin-diving. Make the player tired for doing too much.
