I would say it did that, because well the weapon is good quality, and he seemed to use a metal bb instead of the regular plastic bb's.

Looks like an air pistol rather than a BB gun. Same in principle, but in practice quite a lot more powerful, and shoots lead pellets, probably 2.2 in this case.

I would say it did that because it's a BB gun and it fires copper-coated steel BB's rather than an airsoft gun which fires plastic airsoft pellets. The only BB gun I've ever seen that wouldn't do this at this range is the one my dad has had since he was 6, which is not exactly in top working order these days.
