I think he's confusing Short Circuit with real life. If a robot takes a bullet "in it's computer" (system on chip, I guess) it will stop working. End of. There is literally 0% chance that a bullet could change a programs logic in such a way as to "go berserk" but otherwise keep functioning.

True, any physical damage wouldn't change the programing. Hacking into it would, assuming these robots still connect through wireless, or if it gets captured.

Why not just tell everyone that they are pawns in a giant game played buy assholes who create the illusion of conflict and that this dance is a necessary evil if you want to keep having cold beer and new televisions??
