Kofisays...And there has now been an official investigation into this exact incident and one fire officer has been stood down temporarily for disobeying instructions given to the public by the fire brigade itself, namely driving through water of indeterminate depth. How dare firemen risk their lives to help others?!

I also wondered. How the hell does this thing work without air? Or is Isuzu pioneering fuel cell fire trucks? :-)
oritteropoYou can see the snorkel just behind the cabin in the last few seconds of the video.

God when will the stupidity stop? Do people just not think anymore? Who ever bitched about it needs to STFU and let these men do their job. I think there are better ways to spend money than investigating people out saving lives. I guess if one of those who complained or did the investigation ever has a fire they can say "Sorry we can't get to you. There is water on the ground."
DarkhandUgh now I have one MORE reason I want to live in Australia
dagComment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)
Lots of 4X4s have snorkels here in Australia, I always think that means that the people driving them are looking for opportunities to try them out.
taranimatorat :30 they look at each other, then down at the water -- nice cartoon timing
