Art Therapy for Children

Art therapy is being offered to children in several schools in Chicago, who are at risk of not being able to complete their education. It offers counselling and support that would otherwise not be available to them.

How about some basic Reading, Math and Science therapy? Nah.
Crayons, feelgood group hugs, and interpretive beatbox will be much better preparation for the 21st century global job market.

I was in High School when these At-Risk programs first started getting created (largely in what seemed a response to continued school attacks. Compared to those this program is excellent.

Very easy to snipe from internet about how math, reading, or science would be better served but the application of the theory, well, go look at any urban school. You'll be pounding your head into your teachers edition text book.
