I'm mostly amused that VW is most consistently able to generate ads (or have people generate unauthorized ads) that end up getting banned for one reason or another. It's becoming so consistent that it may just as well be their secret plan - still, this is being sifted because it is pretty amusing on its own merits.

I wrestled with whether or not to include the comedy tag, but decided in favour of keeping it because I think there's some subtle humour at play that may have even flown over the heads of VW's marketing people: people often want to commit suicide over the emptiness in their lives.

To suggest more crass consumerism - car purchases! - would give a person a reason to live is pretty damn funny.
