Intro to Animaniacs, the second and most successful of Warner Bros. and Amblin Entertainment's animation partnership ventures. Introducing the world to a whole group of characters, including the Warner Bros. Yakko, Wakko and their sister Dot. 'Created' in Termite Terrace in the 1930s, and deemed too crazy to be of any worth - and running amok, vandalising the lot didn't help - The Warner's would be locked safely in the Tower, at least until they escaped.
Other characters of the multi-segment show were: Pinky and the Brain (who would later have their own series), cartoon veteran star Slappy Squirrel and her nephew Skippy; Pesto, Bobby and Squit (the Goodfeathers), stray cat/dog team Rita and Runt, Mindy and Buttons, Chicken Boo, Minerva Mink, and various other characters.
The series lasted for 99 episodes, then came to an end with the feature length TV-movie "Wakko's Wish"
Three volumes of 25 episodes are out on DVD with a fourth yet to be announced.
