Alan Wake - Beautiful Next-Get Video Game

Yes it looks good but I'm very skeptical over the developer's approach, the effects seen here are going to be easily mirrored by companies such as (if not used by) Havok and as they are a small development team it seems a bit daft with the huge cost of video games these days for them to put so much money into development of physics.

To which them developing all of this has meant they have had to seek out contracts with Intel & Microsoft and then limiting themselves to their audience.

Remedy has some pretty vast recources when it comes to funds... two little games called max payne and max payne 2 did very well for them. (max payne 2 also happens to be one of my personal favorites)

And that is Havok physics, they are just demonstrating the use of multicore arcitecture, using a processor core to handle the complex physics rather than a dedicated physics card.
