choggiesays......the thing about those blows that you just can't capture witout CGI, is the lack of actual, limb separation, eviscerstion and large, gaping, wounds which those samurais' swords would have produced...they could take a man in half with a single, well-placed, stroke, none of the "clutch my side and limp off flesh-wounded" sheit...Kurosawa was incredible, though, his eye for cinematography with Japan
is like Sergio Leone's with his stylized American old west. Beautifully photographed epics!
