LL: Guy in the suit is pest control working out of Fresno specializing in Africanized bee removals. The hive is in back of an old barn, but (imho) he messes up bigtime and doesn't lay down enough smoke to sedate the hive. The bees swarm in defense and he has to run and give up on removal. Maybe he does this on purpose, not sure..
Bees will attack when a threat to the hive is sensed, a bee will release a pheromone which alerts the rest of the hive and they all rush to attack the threat in defense of the hive and queen. Smoke is used by beekeepers to interfere with the pheromone, giving the effect of making the bees drowsy.

AeroMechanicalsays...Why are they removing them? I understand, what with the bees all dying and everything, removing normal bee nests to greener pastures, but it seems to me that the killer bees may as well get the nerve gas.

I hate bees...no way I'd get close, even with one of these suits (which, obviously, are not entirely bee proof)

Yeah, you sure wouldn't want to waste time saving the most productive bees on the continent when there's a shortage of bees threatening the viability of agriculture. That would be ridiculous.

The guys were being so careful so as not to disturb the hive too much and allow for the barn to be repaired afterward. Why not just fucking nuke them all with sulfuric acid or something? Those aren't normal bees and they don't belong anywhere outside of Africa. Not sure what good they do in Africa either, but they're certainly assholes.
