Yeah, I was shocked when Rob Halford was the grand marshall of the Rainbow Pride Day Parade. I suppose, looking back to the '80s, I should have guessed.

This is painfully close to a night out in my teenage years. Although I never saw JP in concert. My fav. was Ronnie James Dio, with an opening act of Dokken. It all seemed so awesome at the time.

Judas Priest and a lot of 80's metal (obviously NOT glam or hair metal) is still very good music.

I think people just got too into the heavy metal fashion during the 80s and now when they look back at the music they conclude it must have been terrible, because the whole 'heavy metal look' was terrible, and still is (see): http://www.last.fm/music/Manowar/+images
