A Ball Thrown Back 100 km/h From A Truck Moving 100 km/h

Vector physics in real life. From "Trivia no Izumi" (Fountain of Trivia), the same Japanese show that figured out how heavy a fish Dora cat can carry.

i don't get it. how is this "awesome"? i am staring at 70 votes in disbelief. i had to ffwd it to get to the disappointing ending, then i wished i hadn't bothered.

(i might upvote for gluonium's comment about the music, though.)

same for me. what's awesome about it? that could be expected by a 5th grader. if you're travelling with 100km/h and crashing into a car also travelling at 100km/h you two crash into one another at 200km/h. Of course this also works the other way round. it's just basic physics, nothing impressive.

it COULD have been an impressive demo, some people don't know shit about physics so yeah it's interesting, but it was a lame video.

Physics lesson: next time somebody tells you they are a safe driver and they never go above 50, remind them that a drunk dude doing 50 in the opposite direction could really mess up their calculations.

eaglepowers, you missed one - on the final straight before the ball is released, the camera's watching the speedometer crawl towards 100km/h... and there's the music from 'Speed' in the background! (I'm a soundtrack geek, I spot these things.)

Technically, the choice of music is more than justified - the bus in 'Speed' only had to stay above a measly 50mph (80kph).

Resubmitting a dead video is not the way to do it. It will then be a dupe and need to be dupeoffed. Dead videos are not free game, only discarded or killed videos can be submitted without being dupes. (Obviously you can submit something that's already on here, but it will be considered a dupe.)
