1980 Briggs & Stratton Hybrid

Briggs & Stratton (of lawnmower fame) made a concept hybrid car back in 1980. It was sitting in their museum since 1988 until Jay called them up, so they put it back on the road. The rear axle is only to support the added weight of the lead-acid batteries, while the middle axle is the drive (both gas engine and electric motor). Manual transmission. Some borrowed parts from other production cars of the era, but a one-of-a-kind build. Also Briggs & Stratton now makes lithium battery packs (they still make engines).
