Oatmealsays...It was a close call between sports sift and Did that just happen?, but this video definatley had me saying the latter. Incredible that this guy lived, and incredibly gutsy (or stupid) that this guy tried this.
spoco2says...A few points:
a) Find out what brand of bike that was and don't buy it.
b) Find out what brand of helmet it was and don't buy that. (it didn't stay on)
&
c) He's going to feel that in the morning.
Deanosays...I would also find out what hill that was and avoid cycling down it.
Oatmealsays...I think this tales the cake. This is about as hardcore as a bike crash can get.
supersaiyan93says...anyone else find the tighty-whitie shot at the end a little unnecessary?
Oatmealsays...umm, I'm kind of glad he had them on.
grubertsays...This guy's name is Eric Barone. This was shot in 2002 in Nicaragua. The first and successful attempt at 163km/h is made on a standard mountain bike.

More like substandard.
grubertsays...The first successful attempt? Where he actually doesn't crash? He's riding a different (customised) bike for the failed attempt.
H0Jusays...Damn, didn't even clean up the gene pool.
djsunkidsays...dupe: http://www.videosift.com/video/The-bicycle-crash-to-end-all-bicycle-crashes
