People are searching Perpetum Mobile since humanity started to researches different types of engines.

Modern engines are very efficient, they have a lot of electronic controllers and computerized systems, that make them technical masterpieces, literally, but without electricity those engines are useless. Nearly every driver had some problems with computer in his car, and this made impossible to move the vehicle from the place, although mechanical part was perfect. Too complex engines made impossible to maintain them in our garages with our friends. Modern mechanic is not only a mechanic, but electrician and programmer. Diagnostics can be performed without opening the hood, just plug the cable into the port and you will get whole panorama of every process in the engine. Can we rely on such engines? I cannot say anything about this.I just admire old and reliable machinery. Could you imagine to start the engine, built in the 1909, which was damaged in 1920, and restored in 1990s, and started 1997? Just look at the chronology! This engine wasn`t in function for more than 70 years! What is this masterpiece? 1909 10HP Blackstone oil engine was used for pumping water from a river to a market garden. The engine was sabotaged in the 1920s by someone blowing up the cylinder with explosives. A new cylinder was installed and the engine was returned to service for a number of years when it eventually fell into disuse. A number of river floodings submerged the engine and it was eventually partially buried in silt. Starting this engine is not that simple like just pushing the button. The starting procedure requires heating of the hot bulb with a blow lamp in order to vaporise the fuel ( kerosene ) and to preheat the internal combustion chamber to allow fuel ignition. I can watch this engine running forever and listening how smooth it works. First of all this engine requires soul from mechanic, that operates it. Mechanic must lubricate all moving parts manually.

This work is for those who really loves mechanics.
