Amazing 6th grader, does "paparazzi"

well.. it's good and all but he pretty much just copied one of Lady Gaga's acoustic performances that you can find on youtube. I know, I know.. it's a "cover" but I just think with his talent (which he has), he could of at least put his own spin on it. Like how Lady Gaga puts her own spin on her own songs when she does them acoustically

Are you kidding? This kid is a 6th grader, even mimicry of a good acoustic version of this caliber is exceptional, as long as he keeps growing from this he'll a) Get all the pussy(dicks) he wants and b) Go on to much greater things. Should be fun to see his work in 8 years.

You know how if something isn't in the news it isn't relevant to the American public? I think they should talk about this palm-reading ditz for the next 2 years constantly, just so the general population will still be able to think 'Hey, this is a woman who isn't intelligent,' when the next election comes around.

Except most people will think "Hey, I think I saw her mentioned on TV the other night and people were laughing and smiling. I bet she's a great gal. She's got my vote."

And then we all cry.

TED: Finding the supermassive blackhole in our galaxy

zomgg says...

Except that isn't how science works. If I use some algorithm to correct aberrations, I sure as hell make sure objects I know to exist look the same, just with better resolution, before I go trying to explain things with it. Will more resolution be good? Yes. Could further experiments disprove black holes? Definitely! But so far they've stood up to quite a bit of scrutiny.

Cool Hydrophobic Ball Splash

They have a video of a hydrophilic ball and a hydrophobic, where the first creates almost no splash and the second creates a big splash (the second is shown in this sift).

Also, if you have access to article databases, here is the abstract for the source paper

Thanks for the sift, really interesting stuff.

I love how the first dribbler gets hit in the chin, waggles his hand around a bit like a T Rex with stubby arms, and then just puts them up in exasperation saying "Noooooooo!"

Dave Chappelle - Comedy Half Hour (Full Standup)

Strangely prophetic, particularly considering the drama over the 3rd season of the Chappelle Show. I suppose it isn't that surprising considering his apprehension of fame shown here.

The tag is a bit misleading, microfluidics generally refers to scales on the order of microns (1e-6 meters) while this appears to be closer to the scale of millimeters. While the link from the source at Youtube leads to some actual microfluidic devices, this doesn't really qualify.

However, still amazing, I could watch high speed camera fluid videos all day.
