Top Gear / BF2 parody
Despite all the bugs, I play BF2 fairly regularly. Not a huge Top Gear fan, but this was great. VERY well done.
Legend of Zelda theme on an accordian
awesome! (=
Fast Times at Hero High (3:37)
That's actually pretty awesome. (=
Patrick Flanigan-Fastest gun in the West
The video was pretty neat, but farhad's comment made it that much better. (=
Driveby Drumming - amazing percussion
Amazing.
Offside - short World War I film based on true events
You know, "based on true events" doesn't exactly mean "this really and absolutely happened without a shadow of a doubt". This IS based on true events to the extent that for a brief moment on Christmas in 1914, both Germans and the British laid down arms and shared a mutual respite in hostilities. THAT is well represented in this film and I think whoever created it did an excellent job in conveying that, even if it was through a situation that may or may not have happened.
Of course, since it is your word against history and those recounted by the men that were actually there (http://www.snopes.com/holidays/christmas/truce.asp, http://www.firstworldwar.com/features/christmastruce.htm, http://www.lib.byu.edu/~english/WWI/historical/ChristmasTruce.html, http://expage.com/truce1, etc.), such a situation obviously couldn't have happened. Moreover, if you had bothered to read the above link, you would have seen that such an instance was apocryphal, and that men from both sides did indeed congregate to bury their dead and sing songs in addition to exchanging gifts.
Promo trailer for Frank Miller's "300"
I loved the game God of War, but I don't know if it would transfer to film all that well.
However, I think 300 looks pretty cool, but I'm a bit reserved about it. It's sort of like Gladiator in content, and alot like Sin City in style (what with Frank Miller's involvement and all . I've been hearing so much about this film for the past year that it is finally cool to see some of it in motion, but I just hope it works out well. Given the obvious R rating, I don't think the creators of the film will try to pull any punches, but we'll see. (=

They Live - Truth-Revealing Sunglasses
The five minute fight scene (or however long it was) between Roddy Roddy Piper and Keith David is classic.

Barenaked Ladies - Pinch Me
Good song. "Light up my Room" is still my favorite Barenaked Ladies song, though I don't know if that was ever released as a single. "The Night I fell Asleep at the Wheel" is also good. (=
Ballad of the Green Beret
I can see how some people may not think much of this song/video/theme, but I always found it to be a bit haunting.
Low level flying
Thanks for the link farhad. The second video is just as cool visually, but the song detracts it just a bit for me.
Top Secret Drum Corps (Tattoo)
You know, I've probably watched this video 10 times by now. I think by far it is my most favorite I've seen through videosift yet! (=
Russian Power Boots gas powered
I'd like to see how high he could jump wearing those.
Low level flying
Very cool, very beautiful video.
