Stop Torrenting!
>> ^ZappaDanMan:
so true, i hate when i'm 253 hours through a torrent and it corrupts
Yes...they forgot that torrents come in pieces and you can just re-download any corrupted ones.
I can only remember having a corrupted torrent piece once out of like 2TB of downloads.
TED: History of The Universe in 18 Minutes
I'm starting to dislike TED because it seems every talk now has to be a giant spectacle instead of just presenting ideas.
Apparently Nassim Taleb couldn't present his ideas from his book The Black Swan in a satisfactory way for TED so they cut him out. Not cool...that guy's ideas about improbably events, information, robustness, and fragility are some of the most important idase ever.
Weiner Owns Speaker in Latest Rant (3/30/11)

Let me get this straight - you are in favor of increasing government spending, so the government can spend more money on it's people? Very sociable of you.
>> ^Winstonfield_Pennypacker:
I am in favor of any program that takes money away from government, and returns it to people.
He's also apparently in favor of increasing the national debt to pass short term tax cuts for the rich that don't really have any benefit to economic growth, just like dubya did.
But he's in favor of increasing the debt to return money to the people. I'm still not sure what the difference is, but apparently there's a difference. I've yet to hear anyone explain it in a logical fashion, though.
Why "Star Wars" is Secretly Terrifying for Women

You gotta be born into a princess, or be good at spacehookin'
Which one of the two are you graced with?
Game of Thrones - Episode 1 - Exclusive Sneak Preview
I'd promote if I could.
How to tell how pretty a white woman is
@messenger
Exactly...the audience loved it. I thought it was funny, but was ready for a new joke a lot sooner than the audience. The rest of you can make fun of the audience for being dumb or whatever you want, and you can accuse each other for being racist, act all ashamed because you thought about a stereotype for 5 seconds, etc.
Fact is, the guy is obviously good at his job, and racism and stereotypes are fucking hilarious as long as you don't actually act on them or believe them and recognize they're just jokes in the proper context/timing/etc. That's what makes them jokes. If you can tell them to those who are being stereotyped and people laugh and nobody's giving you funny looks, you're hilarious. Otherwise, you're doing it wrong.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone on Problems with the MPAA
That last line in the vid could be applied to pretty much every market nowadays. Major players getting together to set up rules everyone has to follow...join us or get out-competed by our collective subversion of the free market.
Her Boobs are so big, she didn't feel a thing.
I'm surprised I got to the end of this video...I guess I sort of zoned out while thinking about how suckers would enjoy this commercial and buy things that suck.
An important message about Duke Nukem Forever
Pretty obvious what that was gonna be. Who cares if it's a stunt or whatever...we'll see eventually.
I did lol at the "Duke never comes early" part, though.
Sorority Pillow Fight!

I know I'm probably the only one who is bothered by it, but the continuity issues are distracting. The curtain is open, then closed, then open, then closed. Obviously it's because there wasn't really a window on that set and it's just a short Internet video, but come on. And a guy has huge binoculars right outside the curtained window but the girls inside still look like they're a mile away? Yeesh.
unabletosuspenddisbeliefonthisone
Still, funny.
I thought the same thing, but the window with the closed shade is above the bed's headboard...there's another window as well on the wall to the left in the opening shot, which is the one the dudes are watching through.
Blizzard Starcraft 2 Design Meeting - Macrotransactions!

Ann Coulter ALMOST makes sense.
>> ^bamdrew:
this is funny... its like listening to random jokers on a bus talking about things they just heard about on the news... except its on "the news"
Is this your first time watching a Fox News clip? ...cause that's pretty much what Fox (and the rest of cable news as well) is all the time.
zing.
Best Opening Scene of a Movie ever... why? No Reason.
I'm pretty sure everyone who tries to argue that there are reasons behind those things he was saying there's no reason for are doing it wrong.
UCLA Girl's Racist Rant about Asians in the Library
Best part is...she shits on people for like...y'know...having families that care about them instead of setting them loose on the world with all sorts of racist and idiotic attitudes like her parents did.
"Like that sweet American girl my momma raised me to be, I went on the internet and made a video that portrays me as a complete asshole."
Fixed.
"Asian's in the Library" Music Video Response by Jimmy Wong
Who names their kid Asian? Also, what is an "in the library" and where do I get one?
Yes, I am an ass. I also liked the vid.
