Seriously though, while I have no more love for animal rights terrorists than the next bloke, my point was that this video isn't about PETA, it's about KFC. If more people were made aware of what goes into fast food, fewer people would buy it (and there does seem to have been a tidal change in attitudes towards fast food in the last few years). I don't think it's inconsistent to upvote this particular video and still think PETA are a bunch of dangerous cretins.

Galloway got slated for this appearance (some uppity journalists accused him of deserting his constituents), but I think it would have been quite canny - speaking to an audience of millions - had Channel 4 not all but censored him.

The press continually mention that Galloway visited Saddam Hussein and ignore the fact that Donald Rumsfeld did the same thing much earlier - he points out here that he was there to try and persuade Saddam to do what was necessary to avoid war (whereas Rumsfeld was there to sell him weapons). VideoSift - bringing the truth to the unwashed masses!

Seriously, posts like this are the reason I now spend more time watching stuff on VS than on TV.

Galloway is a fantastic orator. The press over here (UK) have it in for him in a big way, and it's not hard to see why - he's made a name for himself exposing lies and hypocrisy. Parliament could use a few more like him.

Capitalism at its finest. It's all well and good raising awareness of this and getting angry about it, but if the law were changed to guarantee humane treatment of animals people would go mental when they realised they had to pay three times as much for a Zinger.

By the way, boycotting this video because PETA are extremist loons is like boycotting gardening tools because serial killers have used them to murder people. It's the content that matters, not its origins.

Excellent! I do sometimes wonder if these two have any idea that they constitute about 78% of all the content on YouTube, and how they feel about that fact.

Those 14 pages got me thinking though - is it possible to order search results differently (e.g. chronologically)? It would make it much easier to make sure you're not accidentally submitting a dupe. If it's not currently possible, it would make a great feature addition...

American and British foreign policy for the last 5 years has been, largely, a response to 9/11. Countless thousands have been killed as a result of our military action. When there are so many anomalies, co-incidences, and unanswered questions, how on earth can you write this off as 'old news' - especially when we've caught our governments and intelligence agencies lying about e.g. pre-Iraq-war intelligence, and when the history of Western false flag operations is so colourful?

Do you REALLY want to stake the future of this planet on the benevolence of these people? Really? If it turns out that you're right, then great, we're just a bunch of silly old conspiracy theorists. But if there's just a chance that we're right, then you owe it to your grandkids not to bury your head in the sand.

At the very least, if you don't give a crap, then fine, don't vote. But VS is big enough for videos about 9/11 to co-exist with skateboarding dogs and brokeback mashups - the voting is democratic, so stop whining. Some people are actually interested in this stuff, and VS is as good a venue as any for it.
