Golden Axe / Rambo -- Listen! Sound familiar?

artician says...

These samples likely came from the Series6000 sound collection, which was and is found in almost every sound studio in the US for film, tv and games.
It's been around since the late 70's and is still in use today, so you'll find similar, familiar samples all over the place going back as far as 40 years!

This film still gives me shivers.
The originals teleporter scene gave me a lifetime of nightmares.
The concept gave me a lifetime of inspiration though!

Beautiful human.
Thanks for taking a stand.

I've always preferred Japans ways of dealing with fans and "IP", which is "let them have their fun".

Sometimes I'm very glad that I live in a country that generally doesn't give a f@$% about US Copyright and Intellectual Property.

Since that is the case, and because I also happen to derive some schadenfreude-esque pleasure from the "Streisand effect", I have decided to download and seed for the foreseeable future the 6GB worth of files for the last version of Stage 9 before the shutdown, including Windows, Linux, and VR variants.

Anyone interested in following suit can use this magnet link, although there is potential for ISP strikes/warnings if you live in the US or other places where they have a less laissez-faire approach to these things than in Thailand (where I live).

Fair use needs protection. When that fails, at least one can assist with unfettered use, even if the powers that be claim that use is illegitimate.

What Does a Nuclear Bomb Explosion Feel Like?

It sounds crazy, but I think it was a product of the brightness, like holding up a flashlight to your hand.
That's not to diminish what they experienced, but I don't think it's as unnatural or bizarre as how it's related here.

BlackFly - Flying Car

artician says...

Not just you. Also looks like a prototype being lifted by a crane in some shots. The propellers look too small to lift that mass.
I was also suspicious that they had so much footage under various lighting conditions. The twilight shots especially, which are dangerous conditions to fly under. Could be we're wrong, and just be artful CG for the sake of a fundraising video?

Is it just me or did some of the shots look CGI?
