Look, Crake, I really don't like the position of defending my own post, but the issue isn't overpraising the one man, I think that with just an ounce of open mindedness one could see that this is about what us humans are capable of in terms of self-sacrifice and courage. I thought he'd be more humble to be honest, that was the impression I got from all his self-deprecation in the reviews.
Talking about how his slightest positive comment "moves units" seemed so out of place.
