A tazer may have been a option here if they have it handy. These officers had just rolled up. They were a distance away and just initiated the interaction. The man immediately starts coming at them and is brandishing a weapon. This guy called out the cops and had a plan. The cops do not deserve to get knifed here.

I can't see in the video if he had a knife. I heard the police yell to drop the knife. Either way, this guy was looking for this. He started aggressively moving towards the police. I don't find fault in them shooting him.

Graffitti is such crap art. It rarely has a message that isn't narcissistic.

Its also slightly funny that he ends the video with a request to add comments to his youtube page.

I have not served myself, but I have many friends who have. This applies to at least the crowd I know.

Think about it as choosing who you want to support with your dollars. In either case you will get the same product. Will you support the artists who created the product and will go on to create more products for you to enjoy. Or will you support the guy who downloaded it for free and is just making pure profit off of the experience. In my mind, he is the only criminal in the transaction but your action can enable that crime to continue to occur.
