Zero Punctuation: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

NinjaInHeat says...

Makes me wonder if he ever played even older Zelda games. Going back to older titles and finding out they were actually better (or just as good) than their modern versions is pretty common, especially for Nintendo games. I've never played the newer Zeldas (don't own a Wii) but I doubt they can hold up to even the old Gameboy Zelda; with its black & white visuals and minimalist approach it had more depth and quality to it than most modern games, of any genre.

Only if it's anal, Hebrews 13:5 - "And so he shafted her righteously and vigorously as the the holy spirit descended upon him, and in a glorious cum-spray of angelic light they were forever bound to each other, and he paid her, and left."

Downvote all you want, you're just jealous that my list of Europe's only priorities with its three bullet points, two of which are the same, is so spot on (though I would add *Islam-inspired Terrorism* between Non-Islamic Terrorism and Islamic Terrorism for the sake of Academic accuracy).

Dear @WhitonDCIA, are you retarded? Sincerely, Norway.

NinjaInHeat says...

That is a problem with most European countries nowadays, not enough attention given to the problem of Islamic Terrorism, if there's some official list of priorities for Europe as a whole I imagine it goes something like:

1. The Environment and other hippie bull crap.
2. Non-Islamic terrorism.
3. Islamic terrorism.

There's your problem right there.

Your Yard Is EVIL

NinjaInHeat says...

EVIL THY NAME IS RYCHAN!

>> ^rychan:

I like my lawn
I don't use pesticides. I draw water from my well, not a municipal water supply. Groundwater levels are not threatened here and I only have to run my sprinkler system about three months a year. So, I don't think it's a huge time or resource sink.
I'm not sure we would be able to enjoy the space around my house without a lawn. I'm not about to plant an acre worth of vegetables -- 400 square feet is plenty for me. If I just let it grow naturally then it would be impassable waist high scrub in a year. I guess it might be interesting to only mow a small fraction of my yard and seed wildflowers in the rest. Not everyone in my neighborhood mows their entire yard regularly.

The dancing squid dish from Japan

NinjaInHeat says...

@spoco2 That is so far removed from the point I was making that I wonder if you even bothered reading past the first paragraph.

Morality isn't black and white. You may think that there's some line like the "ethical treatment of people and animals" that some how transcends cultural differences, but there simply isn't. Whether it's discrimination of women, the 'immoral' treatment of animals or simply just how one behaves on the subway, it's all subject to be perceived differently in different cultures.

Our definition what is 'right' is different than a Japanese person's and you can't ignore that, simply because you can't understand it. What if I told you that in Japanese culture the perception of concepts like 'death' or 'pain' are completely different than ours?

I'm not trying to convince you it's "ok". Why do you think it's so hard to bring change on issues like whale-hunting? Because the Japanese are inherently immoral and take pleasure in the hunt? All I was saying is that some of the things you do in your everyday life may be twice as offensive to a Japanese person as this video was to you, does that mean that western morality is fucked?

The dancing squid dish from Japan

NinjaInHeat says...

Lemme just say that before you go on an anti-Japanese rant here keep in mind that what you find revolting or even simply unconscionable behavior can be regarded as something completely opposite in other countries.

It's fine to feel that there should be some universal standard for humane behavior regarding the killing of animals for consumption. But finding yourself unable to grasp these behaviors is simply the product of a massive culture gap neither myself nor you can probably even begin to understand.

The truths we hold dearest, whether we like to admit it or not, are the result of social conditioning. Let me assure you that to a Japanese man some of our more common behavioral patterns would be perceived as borderline barbarian.

A real BoneRfied TIT job.

NinjaInHeat jokingly says...

We don't. At first she was all "damn, that shit's nasty yo, like, illegally nasty yo", and I was like "it ain't illegally nasty yo" and she was all like "tru dat, tru dat, but nasty yo" then I was all "word, some nasty shit yo".

But to be fair I'm only siding with the doctor to make myself feel comfortable with the extensive surgical aesthetic modifications I'm considering for my genitalia.

>> ^TheGenk:

Let me chime into this discussion about, let's call it broadly body-modification so it can include piercings, tatoos, surgeries and so on.
My stance is quite simple: If a person, for whatever reason, wants to modify his or her own body, then they should be allowed to do so. It is their body and thus their decision and no one elses. If a person provides said service they can do so as long as they do not harm the person they provide this service to(harm is a bit fuzzy, I know).
In the case of this video, I see no reason why the woman should not be allowed to get the surgery done and why the doctor should not be allowed to perform it. Even though, I, personally, consider her chest more attractive without the added silicone.
It may surprise people to hear such a viewpoint from a guy without any piercings or tatoos (or implants), but that is just because I consider things like that childs play. Those are only aesthetical modifications and I want ones that upgrade bodily functions. If I could get legs that would allow me to jump 10m hight I would get them.
I think @NinjaInHeat's point of view is very close to mine and would agree with me, but I don't quite understand where you @bareboards2 differ, so please elaborate.
