^ There was a sh tload of things they could've used. Tazers, pepperspray, rubber bullets, common fucking sense?

Ya, that or wait till he leaves the house in the morning and arrest him? I don't understand why forced entry is even necessary in most of these cases. I guess mostly because waiting around for someone to leave a house requires manpower/police work. It is easier to bust down the door, shoot the guy, then file a report.

I can agree to this waiting until the offender is out of the house first. However, since Law Enforcement would need to be around his house for when he did leave, that would be one hell of an overtime bill. Say it takes 12 hours, and each officer makes 40 bucks in overtime-age, that adds up to 4800 dollars... Assuming the offender even comes out within 12 hours... Let's multiply that by the number of raids around the state and...wow, what a tab... Are you willing to pay for/ and justify that expense in a down economy to your video sift neighbor? (And to argue that we would not neeed to pay the officers overtime is just foolish. They would not be able to just go home, after all.)
Oh, and with the hate I hear about tazers and rubber bullets, we eventually equate this (horror) with those circumstances anyways.... "How dare they use 20 rubber bullets" etc... Sad, we should embrace less-than lethal methods all the times, especially in cases of abuse where people would die, but all I hear about them is shit talk (Right until something like this happens, I mean.)
Onto the actual video. 21 feet is the lethal zone a knifeman needs to kill a gunman. That may sound off, but it is completely accurate. I get hit twice or so with fourty, and ofteb I would still be up (Which happens often since men don't die like they show in the movies.) I can and will stab whoever shot me.
That doesn't mean I agree with this video at all. The officers had little security for themselves, so they relied on their weapons. That is just plain dumb. These officers seemed intent on a showdown. Waiting till the suspect leaves does seem the best option. That at least allows space to find cover and surround a suspect.

Tho very sobering, I think it adds to the integrity of the site to allow these kinds of videos.

And tho I disagree with sheltering yourself from reality, no one should ever accidentally watch this.

It needs a better title. I think VS should also employ a pop up "click ok" warning for videos like this.

"Police Raid Ends in Murder" would be a better title imo.

Ricky Gervais Trolls Tim Allen

You know - quite frankly - I don't see why people think Tom Hanks is that great. I remember him when he first came on the scene in "Bosom Buddies". He was moderately amusing, but no more so than Peter Scolari was. He did some bit parts in Family Ties, and did that lousy D&D TV movie "Mazes & Monsters". He did nothing exceptional.
Then he went on to do crappy comedies like Money Pit, Dragnet, Bachelor Party, and Joe Vs. The Volcano. He wasn't very good in any of them. His acting in these shows was one-note. Swap Hanks in Splash with Hanks in Money Pit and there is no difference. He was servicable, but he wasn't that great.
But I think "Big" for some reason started making people think he was a good actor. In the 90s, studios were always trying to turn comedians into "serious" actors. Robin Williams tried it with Patch Adams and Good Morning Vietnam. Jim Carrey tried with "Truman Show", et al. With Hanks, it was A League of Thier Own, Sleepless in Seattle, Forest Gump, and Philadelphia. I see very little difference between "80's Hanks" and "90's Hanks". He isn't a better actor than he was way back in "Mazes & Monsters". He's still the same old one-note Tom Hanks. He just has a better movie. You could take a potted plant and stick it in Forest Gump and get the same result. Some of his performances like in Polar Express and Angels & Demons are cringe-worthy.
So I don't see why Tim Allen has to take the shot here. He's shown at least as much acting "ability" as Tom Hanks. Hanks just got lucky and happened to end up getting better roles and more credit than he deserves.

Also, Tim Allen's a crackhead.

I worshipped this man when I was a kid. It actually breaks my heart who he's become. He took his growing up way too fucking seriously.

It started with his proclamation in a song that he doesn't like girl on girl action. For that, he can shove his sexually repressive christian fucking values up his fucking ass.

And now this, and scientology bullshit??????

Man it's really risky business idolizing these celebrities. It's left a really bad, disappointing taste in my mouth.

I'll be OK though, thanks.

Sarah Palin Doesn't Get It

I've been waiting to post my thoughts on all this. I'll be candid, and that might reveal horrible views, but here goes...

When I heard someone in the government was shot, my first reaction was to feel bad. But that VERY quickly turned to, "it's about time, fuck them."

And then I read about who it was and what she was doing, and I realized are you fucking kidding me, one of the good people was shot? Wow... just wow.

The way I understand it, the right to bear arms is in the constitution explicitly in the event that the people need to overthrow the government. I learned this because when I was younger, I held firmly the belief that guns are bad and we should get rid of them, someone explained to me why the constitution guaranteed the right to bear arms, and my naivete washed away. Sadly, it made sense.

So whatever, shrug. I don't have the will to further articulate the fact that violence is the only thing that can always guarantee freedom.

The liars with no balls on t.v. and the radio and elsewhere condemning violence in politics while lining their pockets with the gold of the people while washing their hands of the blood of the people can suck a dick.

Two things in the past year that have made me realize the government is no longer representing the people: No limit on corporate donations, and FCC rulings on the internet.

This was probably simply a preemptive strike by the right. Because now the left can't enforce real change without "stooping to their level." Maybe a psyche out. Hehe, they use dirty tricks like that.

Last thing, look up a picture of Gabrielle Giffords, a nice face shot and tell me if you see the kindness in her face and eyes. Then look up a picture of palin, or watch the above video, and, though she's trying real hard, tel me if you see the fucking evil.

I wonder now my comment on your comment was unworthy, as it seems your message might of been in jest... Let it be known, I figured what you said to be proper, but when you mention sifters "could" be ashamed, well then I start to think nay... NAYYYYYYYYY.

Haha... yup. Still got it.
