Three in The Afternoon (what if LightSabers were real?)

AttackDoggs says...

Yeah..I would probably lop my hand or something off trying to do one of those coo behind the back hand switches. Only after I dispatched my enemies...Nice vid.Look forward to the sequel, six in the afternoon, I think it's called.

Best home made lightsaber duel ever!

AttackDoggs says...

Ah...the reappearance of Ryan was genius!!!! I must say I have watched the vid a thousand times and really don't "get" his reappearance, so I just look at it as humorous way to end a killer fight. Ryans head nod as the saber goes through Dorkman is priceless. This fight is wicked pissah. Can't wait for the sequel in March.

Jedi Breakfast

Ryan Weiber Vs Brandon Flyte (Another Amazing Lightsaber Duel!)

AttackDoggs says...

I both agree and disagree with you, ajaraki. It depends on situation. IF both fighters are aggressive in there style, a double bladed saber wielder has good odds at defeating an opponent with a single saber. The wielder of the double bladed saber has the advantage of being able to perform two very swift attacks nearly simultaneously. Where I disagree is if, as in this video, the single blade wielder is a master of defense. Defensive styles, in many forms of blade battle, rely on patience and knowledge of the style of fight. Knowing the next possible area of attack allows you to better defend. Defensive fighters, typically, use less energy and as their opponent tires, or becomes more aggressive, they are able to "see" the weakness' in their opponents moves. A defensive fighter only needs a few areas of oppurtunity to win a battle. Brandon uses Ryans recoil time after a bind to decapitate him. Just one example from the aove fight. When you are reacting, as apposed to acting, you tend to have the upper hand. This,of course, is only in the case of masters.

CG Liquid like you've never seen before. Amazing.

UCLA student tasered by campus police

AttackDoggs says...

Gross abuse of power, absolutely misuse of power. I live in Boston, and I saw plenty of fights, and rioting controled without the use of Tasers when the Red Sox won the world series (I really don't want to hear any hits on the red sox). I watched as two officers broke up a fight without the use of a single "weapon". Once the group was seperated the police officers used a verbal aresanal to get the crowd to disperse. Sure, they used the threat of the taser, but never once used it. It seems hard to believe that campus police couldn't find another way to handle an individual who wouldn't show his identification or leave the premises. I hate to say this, but it seems like those campus cops got off on showing what bad asses they could be. It's very similar to a technique SS officers used to keep work crews in line in WWII. They would take the offender, or disruptor, and shoot him/her in front of the entire work crew. Fear is the best deterant. I know that analogy is very extreme, but it's kinda what happened here. I'm sorry, but I've been told by state police that if a police officer is ever asked for his badge number and information, he is required to give it.

Big Lightsaber Battle

AttackDoggs says...

I love this video. The editing is not the best, the choreography is fair, but the honesty of the video itself... Nice. The music is indeed the Kronos Quartets "Requiem For a Dream" overture. Creating an original soundtrack is a tedious job not many are willing to do. I personally love the music and I think it adds to the video as a whole...I agree with Dag, you can never have enough lightsabers.

Ryan Weiber Vs Brandon Flyte (Another Amazing Lightsaber Duel!)

AttackDoggs says...

Wow...blown away. I appreciate the way Brandon uses very little energy against Ryan, is predominately using a defensive style (dare I say Soresu mixed with Niman) and still comes out on top. Just goes to show a better "swordsman" relies on skill, not power. I like this one better than RyanVsDorkman...keep up the good work.
