AlpacaPower says...The original Dutch news story is here. The ice bear, named Vicks, apparently took a stone from the bottom to play with, took it up and dropped it a couple of times. He's either a genius or just playful. The last drop cracked the the glass, but it didn't give.
The panicking visitors can probably clearly remember the outbreak of gorilla Bokito in the same zoo a few years back. I know I would get the hell out of there. God knows what would've happened if Vicks would've been persistent. The zoo meanwhile has decided to remove the loose stones from the basin.
