Maddow takes O'Reilly down a peg

Unbelievable iPhone 4 tech support call recorded!!

Abel_Prisc says...

Admittedly, I was playing Devil's Advocate. I figured it was a parody, and enjoyed it regardless, but also understood why people would be confused. Thought I'd just give an explanation as to why.

Well when viewing a video that starts with a message stating "Actual phone call to apple tech support", we're led to believe that, yes, it is going to be a real phone call. Thus ultimately making a lot of people disappointed when it becomes clear that this is not the case. It would've been funnier had it just put it's actual validity out there from the beginning, or had they just not said anything at all.>> ^FlowersInHisHair:
Um, did you even think it might have been real?>> ^marinara:
yeah if it was real i might have given upvote

Hello! Parody channel! Do I need to put "Parody" in the f'ing title?

Alien Swarm : New, kick ass free game from Valve

Abel_Prisc says...

Man, this game is actually a lot of fun! My friends and I spent the better part of this morning going through the campaign. Can't really complain about how short it is, and being able to customize your class is a nice touch. Thank you, Valve!

BREAKING! All Oil Flowing Into Gulf Stopped!

Abel_Prisc says...

Not sure if this has already been discussed elsewhere, but NPR gave a bit more insight into this a few hours ago. According to BP, this is only a "test", to see if the cap will sustain the pressure. Over the course of the next month, they'll be trying to figure out whether or not the cap will be enough.

If they decide that the cap won't do the trick, the will remove it, allowing oil to gush out into the gulf once more, and "explore other options".

BP apparently stressed that this is not the resolution that Fox News made it out to be in this brief video. Hopefully they cleared up the meaning behind this later on in the coverage.

Zero Punctuation: Super Mario Galaxy 2

I see somebody drank the kool-aid.

Pretty funny and Nintendo would laugh a long too, if you want to make jokes about the flat storyline, Nintendo has already beaten you to it many times. No one really cares though because we're too busy having fun (which he admits, though for me, when you're having fun, everything else is a moot point).
Bringing back level maps was also FRIGGING AWESOME, this was a case of the 8-90s getting it RIGHT and then 00s trying to be better and failing with horrid hub worlds or whatever the frig you want. The only decent hub world was Mario 64 and that was just a 3d level map really.
I also think Nintendo's new approach to making games accessible to a wide audience is commendable, it is entirely avoidable if you don't wish to look at it but quite informative and helpful to noobs. They've actually got the formula down really well and should be applauded not ridiculed, yeah the instructions are spastic obvious but they're not for you...they are for people who out right FEAR touching a button on any "technology" and on the Wii, they feel comfortable.
Anyway I know these videos are for entertainment but I can never help myself, that's probably what he wants the crafty bugger!

Man Responds to Ex-Wifes Attempt To Hire Hitman To Kill Him

Abel_Prisc says...

After hinting to him "It's someone from your past!", he guesses "Ex-wife!", to which the FBI responds "YOU GOT IT RIGHT YOU GOT IT RIGHT!".

I'm so glad the FBI plays the role of a game show host when telling victims about plots of their demise.

Breaking The Addiction

Abel_Prisc says...

I get your point, and it's not my intention to take away from it with this tiny knit-pick...

But "great community"? I do hope you're kidding.

Take the most annoying youtube/break.com trolls and throw them all on a server together. Then listen to them spam the chat channels with insults towards lesser-geared players. Great community... riiiiiiight... I've played online games with fantastic, helpful, genuinely kind communities, so it's not like they don't exist. WoW is just the furthest from it that I've ever experienced.

But to make my comment relevant to the main point of this video... I quit months ago. I had 5 decently geared level 80s and enjoyed my time with the game for the most part. But I'm never going back. Had I known the deletion of my characters would've made me a one-hit wonder internet celebrity, I'd have recorded me unsubscribing, but it honestly wasn't that big of a deal to me. This guy was obviously in love with this game, which does happen to some people. And if that's the case, this video is as depressing as someone recording themselves breaking up with their girlfriend. Except their girlfriend is a robot and he's the one crying. Or something. I'm not really sure where I'm going with this...

I'll never play another MMO again!

...Until Star Wars: The New Republic comes out. I'll have to warn my loved ones beforehand. /endrant

Wow, great. Yeah, so you quit so you could back to watching Dexter for 5 hours a day, or buying tons of Xbox 360 games and playing them 5 hours everyday. Shit, you may have even gone back to doing straight up junk 12 hours a day... or drinking 24 packs of pabst in five hours everyday. Maybe you went back to "trying" to make beats and being the next DJ Premiere smoking hellsa doobs in the process. Maybe you went back to kissing your girl and wasting time watching "Sex in the City" with her annoying assed friends. Maybe you stopped because you got a new job which requires you to waste 2 god damn hours each way on the LA freeway. We all waste chunks of time; face it.
WoW is a great game - great graphics/art, great sound, great mechanics, great community - take it with a grain of salt- hell man, I play in an experimental noise band, take drugs with my friends on the weekends, fuck random girls every once in a while, play WoW maybe a hour or two a day. But we all have hobbies and a lot of our hobbies are a complete waste of time. So, yeah, quit WoW and have fun with your other fun yet pointless hobbies. You only live once so you better have as much fun as you possibly can and well - there is just no way for me to say that WoW is not pointless, time-wasting... and a huge amount of fun.

Happy 154th birthday, Nikola Tesla!

How to trick people into thinking you're good looking

Abel_Prisc says...

I can't help but feel that she's probably been called an "ugly weirdo" (as she described) by a lot of these awful excuses for human beings, and this is her silly way of venting about it. Really clever parody.

Countdown: Stewart Slams Fox Again

Abel_Prisc says...

As gold as Stewart's bit was, I can't agree more with Overcast. They just killed about 7 minutes of their air-time showing a clip from a show that they have nothing to do with. And their only commentary on the segment was "Watch how awesome this is". Laaaazyyyyyy.
