Jesus is Everywhere....

8972 says...

Jesus is everywhere....but he is no where. When your illusion requires no proof....actually demands that you require none, well, is there a limit? Jesus, if he existed at all, has got all the illusionists beat by miles. David Copperfield and Chris Angel...step aside for the master. Jesus doesn't even have to do ANYTHING (maybe not even exist), and people just eat it up. UNBELIEVABLE!!

Former Racist Repents

It must take a lot out of a person to harbor hatred. I would not credit religion for this mans coming to terms with what is/should be an obvious realization, and that is that people are PEOPLE, regardless of their ethnic background. It must be a tremendous burden to let go of, and for that, I applaud him. May this be an example to those who still hold hatred in their hearts.

New Ted Haggard Sex scandal told by his former sex partner

This is a brave man, and a sincere one as well. I hope he gets through this ok. A fundamentalist church is to blame here....Ted Haggard is a pretender, same as they ALL are.

Rare recording of Janis Joplin in Studio - Me & Bobby McGee

8972 says...

What a lovely gem this is. One of my favorites as well, and Janis really brings out the emotion of the song as no one else has done. She was such a talent...so sad she was so soon gone. Tragic really.

Happy Hollidays from Westboro Baptist Church

This truly illustrates what religious fanaticism is capable of doing to the human mind. We can be thankful that this is basically a family affair. Hopefully it won't go much further than that. The human mind is very plastic....so much so that it can apparently fall right out at times. It's sad to see people led to this sort of thing, especially the children....really sad.

Batshit Crazy Interpretation of Michael Jackson's 'Beat It'

8972 says...

I could only watch a couple parts, but that was more than enough for me. The sad thing is that there are likely some who would take this claptrap seriously. I can't imagine how superior this must make these folks feel, as compared to all of us inferior *blind* fools.
I think beliefs such as these would hasten one to the insane asylum. But, perhaps they belong there.

It's hard for me to type this response with tears flowing from my eyes.
I discovered Eva Cassidy's music a few years back, featured on a CBC radio program, and was overwhelmed by her ability to convey such emotion and power in her singing. She was
a true gem...
Luckily we have her musical legacy preserved for all time. Truly an immense
talent, such as comes along only rarely.
An American songbird.
Thanks for posting this rare glimpse of her awesome beauty....truly appreciated
here.
