videos "by" MINK?
Some people think i made all the videos in my profile when i send them the link. The vid thumbnails at the bottom of my post pages are titled "more videos by MINK". my published videos say "published by MINK".
Shouldn't we admit we just FIND and SIFT this stuff, rather than saying "by"? Especially seeing as we are so allergic to self linking...

Good point Mink, I think the lingo used is misleading. *quality
Awarding MINK with one star point for this contribution to Sift Talk - declared quality by Deano.
Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
Good point. I agree.
I also agree and demand more Lithuanian hottie videos. STAT!
We changed the "more videos by MINK" to now read "more videos submitted by MINK" but where do you see "published by MINK"? I couldn't find that text displayed anywhere.
Lucky the "published by" text is on every single published video.
Ah. I kept looking around profiles and what-not but missed the most obvious place.
Do you have any suggestions on how to replace it succinctly yet still conveying the fact that the video has been published? "This published video was submited by Deano?" Maybe, "Published by votes from the community but added to the site by Deano?" I'm having a difficult time conceiving of good, short text that will cover all the bases. I'd be glad to hear suggestions.
found by? linked by?
linked by is good
But all videos queued or published can be called "linked". I think we need something that also implies it is published as opposed to queued.
Maybe we should keep "published" but change "by" to something else...
good observation.
maybe keep linked, but enhance it, such as "successfully linked"? No, successfully linked is bad. Mmmmh.
or, we need to make a distinction at all? text could stay "linked" to both, and you know it's published because at the top the "sifted" or "unsifted" label is pressed. Or maybe add some other text somewhere.
or... "sifted by"? could still cause confusion, i guess.
I think "submitted by" would work just fine. It leaves you in doubt, just enough, that the submitter actually provided the content.
