Ha. That's funny, so did I. There is a problem with our embed validator. @lucky760 is looking into it.

As a short-term fix, it might work if you don't use the iFrame code for Vimeo or Youtube. We wanted to enable iframe submitting for Vimeo, but something appears to have gone awry.
ugh sorry i didn't read this before posting my own sift talk ... #firstworldproblems
Having the same issue with youtube embed. Siftie changes it to iframe code and then reports it as invalid when I try to submit it.
I think Siftie is off his meds. >> ^Grimm:

I am also suffering from this strange affliction.
When you click on the "Embed code" tab on Vimeo, the text above it gives you the option to "use old embed code", have you tried that?
In fact Youtube gives you the same option.
Yeah... but even the old embed code is not working. Right now I simply cant sift YouTube vids.
That is what we are saying...we are using the old embed and siftie is changing it to the new embed and then won't accept the new embed.>> ^Barseps:

Ok bud, fair enough.
I noticed I had to re-enter the embed code anytime I wanted to edit something, but it still posted.
Well, I tried to edit the length of a few of my videos and the "save changes" button simple removes the embed code.
Edit: The changes are still saved, therefore the video is empty.
It was an experiment we were trying. It's a bit counter-intuitive, I'll admit, but we wanted to see how well we could do if we disabled video submissions altogether, believing it might result in some great new content.
Add me to the list of people who can't submit youtube vids

Sorted : )
But now there are a lot of YouTube sifts not getting automatic thumbnails.
But I already did...
