Chime.tv has got some code we should steal

At first glance you might think that Chime.TV is just another video aggregator. But wait...let's say you want to autoplay all of <a rel="nofollow" href="http://chime.tv/s/<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.videosift.com/queue">http://www.videosift.com/queue">everything at the front of the queue, or the <a rel="nofollow" href="http://chime.tv/s/<a rel="nofollow" href="http://rocknroll.videosift.com/">http://rocknroll.videosift.com/">latest Rock and Roll videos in my collective. <a rel="nofollow" href="http://chime.tv/s/<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.metafilter.com/">http://www.metafilter.com/">Metafilter? <a rel="nofollow" href="http://chime.tv/s/<a rel="nofollow" href="http://fark.com/video">http://fark.com/video">Fark?

Now that's cool. Can we do that? Huh? Pretty please?

Thanks for the quality, grspec, but really it should go to ALL of us...I've been playing with chime.tv today and really they don't have near the community appeal that we do.

So yeah, I love that search/autoplay feature, but it's not the Sift. We rock.

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

It would be very cool to be able to sit back and just watch all the videos in a collective, consecutively - auto-played.

Maybe we need a special Sift Project to develop something like this. Is it better as a standalone player a-la Joost, or an ajaxy web app like Chime.TV?

you could take something like chime, then integrate the sift into it by having the vote option available when your watching a video, then maybe a preview of the comments. I like the layout of chime becuase it reduces the clutter of having all these little video windows, at the same time that little screen shot can be what gets me to watch a video, or in the case of my 7 rockets +1 ass video, the thing that gets a instant downvote.

I do see some cool aspects of the chime inteface and it would be cool to have an option to use this as a default view.
