right before the bank bailout america saw a populist movement that was breaking away from the republican party, and they called themselves the "tea party".now before the republicans came in with dick army and co-opted that entire movement, which changed their basic foundational philosophy to be more "corporate" friendly,(thanks to dick army and americans for prosperity),and anti-government.they are now called the :freedom caucus, and nowhere near resemble the original tea party, but the impetus for the tea party is still there.
the tea parties message was very similar to another populist movement that came just a few years later in the form of occupy wall street.
now the tea party was co-opted and occupy was crushed, but the under-lying dissatisfaction with this countries neoliberal trajectory, inequality and two tiered justice system remains.
now there is a segment of those who identify as democrats who are breaking away from the dominant corporate democrat establishment, just like the tea party did with the republicans,to form their own caucus, and they intend to primary their own candidates and have their own ideology.
many in the new and independent media have signed on and are actively promoting the new "justice democrats".including:the young turks, secular talk, the humanist report, the jimmy dore show to name just a few.
if you are sick and tired of corporate democrats, and their neoliberal policies.their addiction to corporate cash and no longer wish to play the "incremental game" of our current politics.
