The Refreshments - Banditos

The Refreshments were a rock band from Arizona. The band is best known for the witty single "Banditos" from their album Fizzy, Fuzzy, Big & Buzzy, and also for the theme song to the long-running animated series King of the Hill. The latter was a piece the band traditionally performed at soundchecks.

The group was known for its "Southwestern Sound," similar to other bands hailing from Arizona such as the Gin Blossoms and Dead Hot Workshop. The band split-up after releasing their second album, The Bottle and Fresh Horses, and breaking from Mercury Records. Lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist and primary songwriter Roger Clyne and Paul "P.H." Naffah re-grouped to form Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, and still play many Refreshments songs in concert.

Arthur Eugene "Buddy" Edwards is now a writer and self-published his first novel, Stuck Outside of Phoenix. Brian David Blush is now a member of the local Arizona band Disasteroid, as well as doing regular acoustic shows, and his side project Luck and Trouble.
