A group of Salsbury officers accidentally recorded their co-worker/friend abusing his K-9 during training by picking it up by the leash and choking the dog, then by hanging it by the neck over his shoulder, then body slamming it into the car, still lift/choking it by the neck, before throwing it backwards into the car and beating it in the car. His friends shout to him "we're good, no witnesses" as they laugh, then think to turn off almost all their cameras in a clear effort to cover up what they knew was inappropriate abusive behavior....but idiots that they are leave one recording.
Attacking a police K-9 is the same as attacking a police officer, he should be up on multiple animal abuse charges and assault and battery of a police officer in any just system.
This is not proper training in any way shape or form, which is how his commanding officer has chosen to paint the incident, addressing it only after local news gained access to the footage, and is guaranteed to make the dog more aggressive, less responsive, and incredibly likely to bite and attack without a reason or command.
The officer who abused the dog is on (paid?) vacation, apparently the others who tried to cover up the multiple felonies have no consequences.
