Memorable scene from Kubrick's Paths of Glory

Great scene from one of Kubrick's earliest films. Three French soldiers are picked at random to be executed for showing cowardice in the face of the enemy after a failed attack on a heavily fortified German position in WWI. The soldiers are executed to draw attention away from the incompetence of the French General who ordered the attack. It's a great anti-war movie that was considered controversial in parts of Europe when it was first released because of it's portrayal of the French military leadership.
