This video demonstrates a variety of "ballistic micro-fights", a concept intended to enable the learning of viable responses to realistic, unscripted attack situations. The fights simulate violent encounters via roleplaying, and the protective gear used enables the use of realistic amounts of force in a training environment.
I'm posting this because the video seems an interesting counterpoint to most martial arts videos out there. There's a video from Tony Blauer where he mentions that when he asks a martial artist to show him how they defend against a headlock, they put their necks out and wait for him to grab them. Here, the emphasis is on avoidance, recognition of threats before actual physical action and fast, reflexive response to attacks, and it is apparent the roleplayers are not just submitting to techniques because they're supposed to, but try to fight as best they can.
