In US news, a Florida police officer has been arrested on felony charges after his own body camera revealed the cop planted drugs during traffic stops gone bad for at least a year. Police officers planting evidence is not unheard of, but a cop planting drugs on this many people is an extreme example of crooked cops and police corruption. The body cam arrest video, as seen in this Now This News clip, include traffic stops caught on tape where the Florida officer is seeing planting drugs. The citizens caught in his scheme have see their charges dismissed.

It should be noted those charged had to wait for the investigation to be over before charges were dropped, meaning some spent a year in prison on known trumped up charges simply to maintain the secrecy of the investigation. Most lost jobs, family members, benefits, homes, or had other collateral damage due to his fraudulent charges.

There's very little chance that at least some of these drug plants weren't seen by other officers, but none stood up and said anything.
