I was talking to an offshore engineer friend of mine about this disaster last week. Since I had met him, I had never heard him swear. That day he used "fuck" to fill the spaces between all other words. This spill has the potential to eclipse Exxon Valdez.

I wasn't aware there was a problem with The Onion embeds. The problem is the way they create their embed code because they leave out a couple of spaces where they are required, merging a couple of quotes up against other attributes (at swf"type="application and 430"flashvars="). Making it work is really just a matter of hitting your spacebar at those two places.

To save you the trouble, I modified the siftbot so he will detect if it's a stupid theonion embed and insert those two spaces as necessary, so please feel free to return to your The Onion posting ways.
