If the US attacks Iran.. and the shit hits the fan.. then there will be no election.

Likely chance:
Nothing will happen and we can all live our peaceful little free lives.

Rare Chance:
I suspect that if Obama starts to pull away from McCain in the race, then we can expect an attack, and no elections.
