Kevin Smith: Creation vs Criticism
It's as true as when Stephen Fry said it on Room 101. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tO_jmUDaHSA&feature=player_detailpage#t=64s
I've liked every Kevin Smith movie I have seen. I wouldn't call them great cinema or compare them to some art house flick or Woody Allen film, but I enjoyed them. That's the point, I don't think I have never NOT enjoyed a movie. I've disagreed with them, I've been selective about the ones I will go see but every one of which had some redeeming quality and gave me some pleasure. I don't get why critics exist really, learned analysis of a movie ok that's fine...giving a movie a certain number of Stars or a directional digit? No thanks keep your ridiculous math to yourself and just say "It's good see it" or "Not for me but if you like _____ maybe you'll like this."
Midnight in Paris - Hemingway's Story
Okay, okay. This is Hemingway.
I will upvote Hemingway, NOT jerkface Woody Allen.
Muppets' hilariously improvised Banter on Camera Test 1979
Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
so good. Kermie really does sound like Woody Allen when he's just talking.
Muppets' hilariously improvised Banter on Camera Test 1979
This is like a Woody Allen movie!
New Ferris Bueller movie?!?!?!
I really doubt this is movie-related at all; I'm sure it's just going to be a commercial for Pepsi or something. And I'm glad -- there can never be a true sequel to Ferris Bueller's Day Off since John Hughes died. Doing a sequel without Hughes would be like doing a Rushmore sequel without Wes Anderson, or an Annie Hall sequel without Woody Allen.

Yours may be a "dupeof", sir or madam-Voted for it anyhoo!!
I understand what you are saying, but you are wrong, anyone who would dupe that IS A IDIOT.
It is a separate performance, separate show, separate time in time, the only thing that is a "dupe" is the song they sung.
Everything is different, I did my homework before posting it, fear not.
25 Greatest Unscripted Scenes in Films
Good call. on 22) If you'll remember they did it in both movies. That said, I wonder if both of them were improvised.>> ^Boise_Lib:
22) says 40 Year Old Virgin--the movie is Knocked Up.
18) says Tootsie--the movie is Stripes (I think, it's been a long time).
08) Annie Hall--can you really call it improvisation when Woody Allen wrote the movie?
I've also heard what @quantumushroom said about Being John Malkovich.
I love picking movies (and videos about movies) apart.
Thanks, Grimm
(Hey, I just learned what "8)" does )

I didn't realize Woody Allen had a show! Groovy!
Woody Allen Boxes a Kangaroo, 1966
This is the color version of this one.
Woody Allen Boxes a Kangaroo, 1966
the television show, The Hippodrome, was a British program.
>> ^ponceleon:
great clip, but how the hell is it british?
Fifty People One Question
Those people are summed up by the question at 3:26 :
“I would like to know why people try so hard to be anyone but who they are.”
Also, those questions remind me of the Woody Allen line from Small Time Crooks :
“The one thing I would like, I would like to learn how to spell Connecticut.”>> ^xxovercastxx:
I found myself irritated by people who asked questions to which the answers are readily available ("How does a venus fly trap, like, work?", "Exactly what is in Jello?","What's in a Wonder Ball?") or questions that were just intentionally stupid ("Where can I get the biggest, cheapest cookie right now?", "What's your favorite microwavable food?", "When's the zombie apocalypse gonna happen?").
Really? You have an opportunity to have any question answered and you're going to ask something meaningless or something you could find out for yourself with less than a minute of research?
I guess that says as much about me as it does about them.
Coogan and Brydon - Drink it
I don't find much on tv to be worth watching but this has been a glorious and unexpected exception. Final episode is tomorrow.
I'd say Coogan has been pretty brave with this storyline, musing on his insecurities about a career in decline.
BTW they both did brill impressions of Woody Allen in episode 5.
