I wish I could vote for this guy.

You don't need to... he won

Micheal D is great. I actually went to school with his kids. He is a genuinely intelligent, well educated man, and (shock! horror!) a socialist!

edit: oh and just for the record, he wasn't president when he made those comments.

From the wiki on Michael Graham:

During a debate on the Irish radio channel Newstalk on 28 May 2010, the future President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, accused Graham of indulging in "the radio of hysterical ignorance" and urged him to "be proud to be a decent American rather than being just a wanker whipping up fear."

Rough Tea - work tea made with Yorkshire style

BoneRemake says...

It's funny because he is trying to make Tea seem "extreme" or Macho or whatnot. I think he looks a bit like a wanker personally. Tea may taste good but it is nothing to make a "snatch" style video over.

I feel more embarrassed/sorry for the English society that can't seem to handle the ramblings of a lone wanker. Do you really have to throw LAWS at him? Political correctness is for sheep, and though I dislike this sh1t-disturber, he ain't a sheep.

Oh! The Places You'll Go at Burning Man!

Just awesome vid. Any railing against 'those damn hippies' is killed by the wondrous words of the Doctor.

It's easy to think that people there are pretentious wankers, but then you look at the structures, the sculpture, the engineering, the art. And you have to go... 'woah'. They made those things, they created, and for a brief time they get to exist in a little world of creativity and sharing.

So yeah. Great stuff.

I noted that there is an Australian Burning Man now (Burning Seed), but it looks like it gets held in bushland. I think the playa of Burning Man, the huge, flat surface is a huge part of what makes it. So I'm not sure why they don't hold the Australian ones in one of our deserts.

hey thanks for the vote of confidence my man.
while i am loathe to admit it,i am just as susceptable to presumption as the next person but i find if we give that person a chance we can learn so much more about who they actually are.
we are all human after all.
being a gnostic i tend to get flack from not just the secular community but an even more virulent reception from the religious community.

it took a bit of conversing with shiny to understand he was just a true believer and not some wanker looking to stir the wasp nest.

i have found if you listen to what someone says (even if you disagree) and dont outright dismiss their core beliefs, their tone will change to a much softer and palatable discourse.

so much gets lost in text that patience is a must to achieve a better understanding.of course i fail at this as often as i succeed, but i try.
