Jim Jefferies tells Piers Morgan to Fuck Off
I can't stand Trump or pretty much any of his policies, and Morgan is a douche, but it's not technically a Muslim ban. It's dumb and won't make us any safer, but it's not a Muslim ban.
For people who are excited by the 9th circuit court victory, it's temporary. Like it or not he has the authority to stop immigration. Sucks but it's true.
Vote in 2018.

Morgan Freeman being black and succeeding in life
What I think he means with "stop talking about it" to end racism means stop talking about (and focusing on) race, not stop talking about racism....all of us, not just the victims of racism. If we ALL ignored race, clearly racism would evaporate....but racists don't do that, instead they focus on it. What the video implied IMO with the smiling Trump is that we should just stop talking about racism but continue to apply it, problem solved. Trump himself often divides and labels people based on race, unapologetically and gleefully, he certainly does not approve of the idea that he should 'stop talking about race and dividing people based on race', which is what I'm sure Morgan was saying.
I was mostly with him until he said anyone can pull themselves up by their boot straps. That's bullshit. He had immense talent (he won a state wide drama competition at 12), drive, opportunities, supportive family, education, and just as important, luck. Assuming that anyone without those abilities and support can do the same is ridiculous. Circumstance and natural ability mean most people don't have a chance to take advantage of opportunity that might present itself if they're lucky enough to have one appear. There's something wrong with him to think that anyone can do what he did, clearly almost no one can as very few have.
Yes, Mr Freeman, the bus runs every day....but you have to have the fare and be willing to abandon your family, job, home, and community for a lottery ticket elsewhere. For some, there's nothing to lose looking for greener pastures, but most who get on that bus are not successful, and many take their families down with them. I'm not suggesting people shouldn't look for better options and take them, but it's not as easy or simple as just getting on the bus.
American vs Scottish Whisky
They should have put more people in this who actually enjoy Scotch and Bourbon. I think only the guy who does the Morgan Freeman impression was the only one with some experience with these drinks.
Eddie Murphy Does The Greatest Tracy Morgan Impression
Isn't Tracy Morgan an imitation of Eddie Murphy though? This is comedian inception!

Funny Lawyer Commercial
As a resident of central Florida where this firm is from, I can tell you that while I haven't seen this super cut as one commercial, the firm name is indeed Morgan and Morgan. And John Morgan Sr., his wife Ulta (?!) and his two sons are all lawyers at the firm. They say Morgan and Morgan at least a couple times in every commercial and their slogan "For the People" is also uttered with great regularity. Simple, yet effective, brand name recognition for a plaintiff law firm. I've even seen their billboards as far away as Mobile, Alabama.

San Francisco, Silicon Valley, And The Bay Area Explained
Does anyone say Marin or Berkeley the way he does? How do you get Berkeley wrong? I can't imagine he's from the area or even heard anyone say those names before.
Also Id personally define Silicon Valley as Most of Santa Clara County(not all). Palo Alto to San Jose. I don't think of it as including the cities of Milpitas, Morgan Hill and Gilroy. Although, i think of it this way due to when it was first being used and the area in encompassed at that time. It's probably been ever changing depending on how the tech areas expand.
Wiki describes it "Geographically, it encompasses all of the Santa Clara Valley, the southern half of the San Francisco Peninsula, and southern portions of the East Bay. It includes parts or most of Santa Clara County, San Mateo County, and Alameda County."

The Death Of National Geographic
Yes.
"Story of God" with Morgan Freeman is NGTV's big production this month.
Right now, it's border wars, followed by 4 episodes of rocky mountain law, then drain the Bermuda triangle (at least a little bit about nature), then area 51:the CIA's secret, then bigfoot:the new evidence. It's all low quality 'reality TV' and conspiracy theory these days. So sad.
I used to subscribe and read NG back in the 80s. What about NG channel on TV? Did they get bad too?
The Death Of National Geographic
Yes...and yes. The Mary story was story after story of faith healings and visions portrayed as if they were certainly real, with no science involved and no other explanations given. I had skipped that story because I don't care about religion, but went back just now and read most of it. Yuck.
The magazine is not the same. This months issue's articles....
1)the photo ARK
2) The crossing-is death an event or more of a progression
3)where death doesn't mean goodbye
4)urban parks, when you're there, civilization can feel very far away
5)Ghost Lands-The Out Of Eden Walk passes through nations haunted by their history: Armenia and Turkey
Page 4 is a big "Why I went looking for spiritual answers" 'article' hyping "Story of God" with Morgan Freeman, which has other full page ads in the same issue.
So every story has some religious connotation except the 'urban park' story, which may or may not, I haven't read it yet.
It does still have some good photography, but also a lot of bland and boring photography, and that ratio is moving in the wrong direction.
I think I won't be renewing. I'll get Popular Science or Scientific American again instead.
Anyone on the sift subscribe to Nat Geo? Is this issue as bad as it sounds?
