I remember you liking the Justin King video, so you should probably check out Owen, I think you'll like him:

Stanley Jordan displays phenomenal guitar tapping
Look at those 90's shoulders!
Well done though. Of the more modern tappers, I like Andy McKee and Justin King.

That's interesting to hear about his motivations, I'd guessed something along those lines.
A lot of artists stick it out as instrumentalists but it's no path to riches. I can't imagine listening to Justin King's music unless you're musician or guitar geek. After I play his album my brain is noticeably tired.
I cropped this song from an mp3 off a fan site, it's an echoed version of square dance:

Funny thing, I get stingy with my votes when it comes to music videos. If the audio quality is bad or I don't like the song I can't vote it up.

I heard from a friend that's rather obsessed with him (has all his CDs and everything) that the reason he started doing rock music was because the acoustic virtuoso thing was getting a little stale to him. Yes, he's done amazing things in the genre, but there's only so far you can go, and I'm sure he just wanted to expand his work a bit, and have some fun while he's at it. I think the songwriting he displays in his work in this band is just as excellent as his solo work, and on many levels coming up with music for that many instruments is a lot more work.
But yeah, his work in general is absolutely great. I love everything he's released. It's cool to see another fan on here.

In his solo career Justin was treading new ground. I'm a little disappointed that he's put it on hold for now. When he returns to his instrumental roots I expect we'll hear more great music from him.

Justin King - Crown. Dual-guitar. Unbelieveable.
He also does some really nice rock music nowadays:

Nice sifts with those Justin King posts. The guy has some massive talent, and he's a great musician all around. He's currently doing music in a very melodic light rock band called Justin King and the Apologies. You should check them out.

This would make an great Sift trifecta!
Crazy Guitar
This is Justin King playing at the end of a video for Larivee guitars.
Bach on a double neck guitar
Beautiful Face of SKILL. He's got a green version of Justin King's epic double guitar. They have to be custom made for tapping, since there is literaly no room to play the upper one regularly.
Erik Mongrain playing some wicked guitar
Personally I like flash, otherwise it could just be a computer programmed to make related harmonies or paint pleasing shapes rather than art. I'd submit this video in responce, but I have one dying in the queue already.
