Grandmas Smoking Weed for the First Time
Bingo!
I was already at the "wobbly head stage" of drunkness when my friend broke out "the funk" and I quickly progressed to the "Which way is up? oh shit I'm going to die!" stage.
I also managed a massive whitey the second time I smoked completely without the help of alcohol. No that time it was probably eating 20 packets of cheesy wotsits in around half an hour! (easily the most bizzare vomiting I've ever done)
It's a wonder I kept smoking the stuff!
I'm guessing he was just really drunk. That's a common effect then.

You thought correctly. What a blast.
Even despite your recommendation, I expected it to be a run-of-the-mill action flick. Mucho pow pow, cheesy zingers everywhere... the usual. So it was all the more captivating when it turned out to be a proper dystopian cesspool of desperation.
When Dredd lured a group of them to a terminal, covered them in what looked like Willie Pete and set half the quadrant on fire -- that's cold. And if I didn't know Lena Headey to have quite the rock 'n roll personality, I'd be worried by how naturally the persona of an ice-cold murderer seems to come to her. Both Urban and Headey, now that I think about it. Very disturbing indeed.
Anyway, great recommendation, would have never touched it otherwise.
i think you will enjoy it immensely.
New Trailer Debuts for Christopher Nolan's 'Interstellar'
Yawn, looks like every boring cheesy space film since the 80s.
Cue quotes about how Nolan was 'inspired' by 2001.
Weird Al Gets 'Tacky' With Pharrell's 'Happy'
Autoplaying videos? I think we all know the word for that.
It's cheesy.
The Random Stop - Anatomy of a Murder
This seemed pointless. They tried to make the event more impactful by overdramatizing it (showing the cop talking to his wife about their daughter, drawing out the gunfight, having the cop mention his family right before getting killed, etc) but it just made it feel like a cheesy Hollywood drama. The actual dashcam footage is way, way more impactful and really shows how sudden and brutal murder can be.
It's all too easy to hate cops (and authority figures in general) but it's also easy to forget that even a routine traffic stop can be a life-or-death situation. Cops have no idea who is behind the wheel. It could be a soccer mom or it could be a violent psychopath.
The Random Stop - Anatomy of a Murder
after seeing the dashcam footage, I think the reenactment video is actually less cheesy. They should have gotten an older crazier actor to play the killer though. (John Malkovitch type)
Instead of cheesy reenactment here's the real thing

C.H.O.M.P.S. Trailer (1979)
Upvote for Valerie Bertinelli and cheesy 70's music.
Wingsuit BASE Jumper Takes his Dog for the Ride of His Life
That was horribly cheesy. Would have been awesome if the dog puked on him.
Expectations vs. Reality: Action Movies
LMFAHS. Some stuff there that's a little too goofy/cheesy, but I still got a great kick out of this.

Astronomers create first realistic virtual universe
oooh, one hundred thousand lines of code!
that's like... a small to medium sized project.
Honestly, this is really cool but it's presented in the worst possible way.
Drop the cheesy music and add some narration to explain what you did.
Uber WTF: Astro Defenders & the Goose - Cyclone of the Stars
I think I'm seeing a trend over the last few years...new bands attempting to redefine what a band does, with lo-tech FX and trippy/space/cheesy videos. Shaka Ponk comes to mind, although they're a bit higher energy (and quality?) than this bunch.

HehHeh ... one of the joys of my life are those cheesy SyFy movies!
Wasn't that the promo? I was sure that was Ian Ziering at the end. WOOHOO!
One Woman Band Plays Nirvana's "Heart Shaped Box"
S'ok for a gal havin' fun with some equipment-Always hated this fuckin' tune, s'all I heard people fawning-over in the 90s while grunge-pop was leaving that void of dark matter in rock and roll universe... Decent untrained voice, cheesy props....Kept wishing she'd spill that pretentious glass of whatever red wine she put up there to let everyone know she's hip. Meh meh meh.
Comes form having been critiqued over and over again, sorry folks. It's called honesty tinctured with asshole.
Rise of Electro (International) from Amazing Spider-Man 2
The Superman 1978 film was an enigma, for being a superhero film that didn't absolutely suck.
Then there were the Burton Batman films, which had something special to them that made us feel comic films weren't horribly cheesy.
Then there was a break for a decade of suck, before the first X-men film found that missing link between fantasy and humanity that audiences could relate with on a realistic level. It was bolstered by the first Spiderman, and then the Iron Man film really cemented the legitimacy of comic-based films from there.
That's not even mentioning the Dark Knight films.
But has anyone noticed that gradual slide into mediocrity/laughability in the last few years/sequels? Everything since then has lost that human element that could make us relate to the protagonists and suspend our disbelief, and for me it's felt that everything in this genre has slid backwards to that immature and unrealistic setting.
Meh.
