He Slimed Me! (Ghostbusters C64)

StukaFox says...

Shit, I remember playing this game. You kids with your Call of Duty and "Graphics" don't know how much fun C64 games were -- when you couldn't save and the game was the same four levels over and over again. But they were fun.

The Development Disaster behind macOS

ulysses1904 says...

I had my Mac Classic for years, then got a Quadra 605, then Quadra 630. Then my favorite of all was the dual core G5 I got in 2003, I could play Call of Duty online while rendering 3D animations in the background without any performance hit. Then a Mac mini and finally a 27" iMac with a dual boot with Windows 10.

The Untold History of EA's Long Pay-2-Win Love Affair

sixshot says...

Can someone explain the debunked tag? My last EA game was Battlefield 3 and I never looked back. These days, I just don't find many of today's supposed AAA games to be all that appealing. I'm sick and tired of the yearly sports release. And I groan every time I hear a new Call of Duty is being made.

Another way in which it's a propaganda thing is that the publisher of Call of Duty pays licensing fees to arms manufacturers, who then get editorial control over the light in which the gun is portrayed.

Er, some of it kinda is. CoD can be pretty jingoistic and the later instalments especially espouse some questionable moral positions on all kinds of issues.

That doesn't mean it is any less deserving of free speech protection.

So, if playing Call Of Duty means you can't hug/love your family, doesn't military service mean the same thing to a much greater degree, so logically those that have served in the military should be shunned and feared?

That was some serious ridiculousness and baseless, fact free, illogical arguments coming from 3/4 of the panel.
