I think the video is a criticism of that mentality. Look how fast we can throw celebrity testimonials at you, just the like-or-hate is all we seem to want, and they matter about as much as a picture of a dog in a thong. So, well upvoted!>> ^VoodooV:
Even though I upvoted this video. I do have to criticize it a bit...well maybe not the video, but simply the mentality of why we even care what celebrities think.
Republicans get worked up when celebrities seem to flock to Obama, but as this video shows, there are plenty of celebrities who lean right. It's a false argument.
Sure there are plenty of celebrities who take issues seriously and get involved, but generally speaking, I DON'T CARE WHAT CELEBRITIES THINK. Their problems are not my problems. They are somewhat removed from the average person's struggle.
They are entertainers, they aren't any better than you and in certain cases, worse.

Astute observation ... that was my take on it too. [plus the catchy, mind numbing hook ... I was hip-mo-tized] =o)

When the law was enacted back in '05; I remember people complaining that crap like this would happen, and so it did. A life was lost, and the right thing to do, race aside, is to honor that life by doing due diligence. The president has feelings, but as a public figure, he cannot express his personal opinion. I know how he feels and I agree with him, but I also agree with the fact that he should let the proper authorities comment on it. He's the president, not a TV talking head. This is a local matter that should not have been asked to a president in the first place - this is troll journalism at best.

Sucks he can't say what he feels. He looks in pain. The one real thing he said... the title of this post... speaks volumes tho.

And everybody knows that any side he takes will be the wrong side and Fox et al. will open up on him with both barrels.

If he's against Trayvon, then he's soft on crime.

If he's down on the investigation, then he hates cops.

That is the GOP framing in a nutshell.

Is it me, or are there A LOT more commercials than usual on now... trying to get you to stick to one of the big banks?

I imagine it's true. They probably see it as a numbers game. Bad advertising will lose them custom, so increase the advertising to recoup the custom. Might cost them a bit more on advertising short term, but they probably think occupy earth will run out of steam before they run out of money.

They're pretty confident of thinking like that; they've got all the money after all.

Banks are a fucking joke. They use our money to make money and we feel gratitude when they give us a couple of pennies for every 100 quid they make with our cash. If they ever short change you, they take two weeks to fix it and you have to pay for the phone calls - but if you short change them, they charge you 30 quid administration fee for sending you a letter to let you know.
