Cast of "The Princess Bride" reunited after 24 years
Really, no Christopher Guest?
NOT TO FIFTY!!!!
25 Greatest Unscripted Scenes in Films
I would assume that it along with the movies made by Christopher Guest which are by design a mostly improvised script (much like Curb Your Enthusiasm on TV) were excluded from the list.>> ^Duckman33:
Strange to see nothing in here from Spinal Tap since a lot of the scenes of that movie were improvised from what I understand.
2008 World Record for Dominos
This is prime material for a Christopher Guest movie.
The Grand Trailer: Meet the Players
The uploder compares this film to "Best of Show" for its improvisational style
Which shows that the uploader really has no idea how Best in Show or any of the other movies by Christopher Guest work. Their style, almost entirely (with the exception of For Your Consideration) is such that it all looks like it could REALLY be a documentary. It just looks and feels like a real documentary actually happening.
This doesn't, this is all very scripted looking, flashy camera techniques, something that doesn't quite get the 'mockumentary' feel.

I saw that you've got a "Christopher Guest" playlist. Wanted to make sure this didn't escape it.

You know how I know you're gay?
Woohoo! My first #1. *sniff* Thanks everybody... *sniff*
MarineGunrock: True. Another I highly recommend is "Best in Show" where almost all the dialog in the scenes is improvised. Christopher Guest and his regular band of cohorts have that form down to a science now. "Best in Show" is probably the best example, with "A Mighty Wind" a very close second.
The "Whose Line" Crew Loses It
Both versions were great. I'm a fan of anything improv, ie. The Office (another great show; both of them), Dave Atell's Insomniac, Christopher Guest's series, etc.
Why You Shouldn't Do Dating Services
This has almost a Christopher Guest movie feel to it. I would like to see a "Where are they now?" follow up to this.
For Your Consideration: From the Bottom of your Womanhood
The new film directed by Christopher Guest (Mighty Wind/Waiting for Guffman/Best In Show). One of the most underrated comic actors of our time.
I am almost as excited about this one as I am about pirating Seasons 1 & 2 of Extras (since HBO chooses not to make it available on DvD in the States until after I die).
Audition: Waiting for Guffman
I hope my vote puts this over the top onto the main page. Parker Posey is great, and the Christopher Guest movies are all fabulous. Looking forward to "For Your Consideration", which debuts at the Toronto festival this weekend. Hey, Krupo, can you go and then report back here and tell the rest of us how it was?
Audition: Waiting for Guffman
Ya, it was in the outtakes. I love Parker Posey.
And I was an extra for "Waiting for Guffman." It was fun and we would have done it for free, but when we overheard the extras casting manager say, "It doesn't matter if the sign in their hours...it's not like we're going to pay them" we got a little miffed. I don't blame Christopher Guest...I blame that damn local casting agency. But at least I got to meet Paul Benedict...he's a very courteous and kind person. Must be that British upbringing.
