I was part of the Canadian contingent at the 2005 ceremonies commemorating the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands. We had so many Canadian veterans there. This song was one of the ones that kept being played by the brass bands at the get-togethers and these 80-year-old vets would all stand up and sing along.
