Universal Cancels Dark Tower

I remember mention of god drums here on the sift once, so others might be interested... Apparently Universal was in line to produce 3 movies and a television series based on the Dark Tower epic by Stephen King. It was just announced the other day that they are passing on it because it's too expensive :(
